MUST-DO ACTIVITY
Definitely go to Ostuni and eat at Burro Cafe for coffee/breakfast and then Acquasanta (natural wines & sandwich bar) for lunch. I didn’t see Martina Franca mentioned in any guides, but I think it was my favorite city to walk around in the evenings…We felt like the only tourists there which was lovely since a few of the other cities are quite crowded.
FAVORITE SITE
Don’t miss Grottaglie, it’s the ceramic capital of Puglia and we went crazy shopping for the splatter painted pottery!
FAVORITE BITE
Too many to count. My favorite bite was probably lunch in Fasano. Fresh pasta with tomato sauce and 3 different types of cherry tomatoes. But my favorite bite to see was my baby trying gelato for the first time!
TRAVEL ESSENTIAL
I used the Beca Backpack for my diaper bag and it was truly the perfect size to carry everything I needed for long days exploring the coast. Also the perfect combination of leather and raffia that felt perfect for early September.
