Innately sustainable, raffia is a natural and biodegradable material.

It’s harvested from living palms with no damage to the tree, and completely woven by human hands. Our partner in Madagascar is a vertically-integrated palm farm that employs exclusively female artisans, combining a generations-old handcrafting technique with transparent supply chain standards that include on-site childcare.

Accented with carbon-negative, regenerative leather.

Finished with smooth and supple leather accents, the straps and pockets on these handbags have their own story. They are sourced from a fully regenerative ranch in Germany, meaning they come from pasture-raised livestock and agricultural practices that support natural ecosystems, increase biodiversity, and sequester carbon enough to offset the environmental impact of their own production. This thoughtful cultivation of materials results in a sumptuous tactility truly unique from conventionally-sourced materials.

Crafted by human hands.

The first drop of straw handbags sold out in a day, and we’ve been hard at work to restock this fast favorite. Each bag takes our Malagasy artisans 5-7 days to weave by hand, and is then finished locally in Los Angeles. By limiting production locations to our raw material source and domestic finishing, we cut out extraneous global transport and limit the carbon footprint of these handbags.
